About us
Brigalow Farming Group Member Footprint
The Brigalow Farming Group’s influence stretches over 350,000 hectares of Queensland’s richest soils, from Chinchilla and Hopelands in the west, to Jimbour and Jandowae in the east, extending to Dalby in the south.
Our diverse membership cultivates an impressive array of products, including cereals like wheat, barley and sorghum, pulses such as mungbeans and chickpeas, oilseeds like sunflowers and canola, and even innovative crops like industrial hemp and fish farming!
In addition to field walks, the group meets quarterly and hosts a comprehensive full day event in August each year. These gatherings are centered on high priority and seasonally relevant topics, providing members with opportunities to share insights with industry specialists and gain first-hand exposure to local field trials.
We actively partner with public and private research providers committed to innovation and excellence in farming.
Most importantly, we help coordinate information and activity in our area so growers have one place to find out what's going on!
